Jock Cameron (Alexander Fletcher Cameron)

Masonry Contractors Australia (MCA) honours the memory of Jock Cameron, who passed away in 2004; without Jock, there would be no Association. He founded the organisation, the very first meeting was held at his house in Cammeray. Jock was highly respected throughout the brick and block industry for his professionalism, integrity, and unwavering contribution to the Association and the wider masonry sector. Jock was MCA Executive Officer from 1997 to 2003. His commitment to supporting the industry and those within it left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of working alongside him. Jock’s legacy continues through the many people he mentored, encouraged, and inspired throughout his career. In recognition of his outstanding service and enduring impact, MCA established the Alexander Fletcher Cameron (Jock) Memorial Award, ensuring his contribution to the masonry industry will be remembered for generations to come.
